CBS’ Edits Hurt an Otherwise Good Big Brother US 9
As an avid Big Brother 9 fan, I was ecstatic about another excited new episode of the show.
However, I was greatly disappointed by CBS’ edits on the true drama that happened in the house during all of these events. Granted, ratings are the network’s biggest priority, and I understand this fully. But this “mushy gushy” version of what actually happened in the household is nowhere near the actuality of what really went down.
Live Feed Drama
I will admit to subscribing to the live feeds. Nothing says drama like cameras on a group full of random strangers, 24/7! I have seen everything from Natalie’s X-Rated strip tease to the downright household make out fest in the swimming pool. (Let’s just say everyone has made out with everyone at some point in the household thus far.) While I was not shocked that CBS omitted this part for their broadcast, they have definitely made it seem that the cast is far more tame than they really are.
Big Brother 9 Day 15: Inexplicable Jericho Tie-In
My Big Brother 9 thought of the night is that only on CBS could they figure out a way to cross-promote a show about post-apocalyptic America (Jericho) on a trash reality show about being stuck in figurative purgatory with amoral people you can’t stand and who are probably out to get you. Then again, maybe that is what post-apocalyptic America will be like? Hmmmnm, maybe we’re in post-apocalyptic America right now?

Wow. What a wild night in the Big Brother house it’s been. First there was Allison and her face explosion.
Then there was Amanda and her fainting expedition, Chelsia can clearly be heard in the background saying, “She’s faking because she doesn’t like slop.”
Another Big Brother Brouhaha US
Another season of Big Brother, another bigmouthed contestant getting CBS in trouble.
The Eyeball is coming under fire from the advocacy group Autism United after housemate Adam Jasinski made an offensive comment about children suffering from the developmental disability.
In an episode that aired last week, the 29-year-old public relations manager from Florida talked about what he would do if he won the show’s $500,000 grand prize. After noting that he previously worked at an autism foundation, he suggested that he’d spend his winnings on a hair salon for autistic kids, saying such an establishment would be a place where “retards can get it together and get their hair done.”
Ratings: CBS’s Usa ‘Brother’ and ‘Jericho’ Tumble

One week after earning relatively mediocre ratings in their debuts, CBS’s “Big Brother” and the second season of “Jericho” saw their audiences shrink more than a million additional viewers on Tuesday.
According to Nielsen’s estimates, “Big Brother” drew just 5.4 million viewers at 9 p.m., compared to 6.9 million a week ago, while “Jericho” garnered 5.9 million viewers at 10 p.m., down from 7.1 million. CBS ranked third for the night over all, faring best at 8 p.m. with a rerun of “NCIS” (10.8 million).
